As titled, does vxdiag vcx nano gm tech2win work on Australian Holden?

 

The answer is NO.

Review 1: 

Once up and running I can use GDS for 2014 up Holden Commodores and AC Delco SPS programming through the pass thru works fine as well. BUT load tech2win with any Holden Commodore software and watch out as it does not read anything but the CAN bus modules and can set codes on the GM Lan bus modules.

I am semi retired auto elec in Ozzie and have had to go back to work . i mainly do car yards and mechanic shops to diagnose. i have brough a vxdiag vcx nano to do some basics on gm holdens which is common in Ozzie. i find it works on engine – trany and abs but no comms on radio – cluster and hvac.

I had VX nano tech2win wouldn’t work on Ozzie holdens unless it had a chevy engine thats about all it talked to.

 

 

FYI: GDS2 and SPS2 works fine with Holden.

GDS2 tested working, but need to install 2012 x86 redist package.

Works great for a wide array of GM vehicles giving you dealer level data and control. VXDIAG does a nice job of providing plenty of how to information to assist with the software install. I didn’t have any issue and gave tested both Tech2 and GDS2 applications. Special functions and test operations all worked great and I was able to review so much data on each vehicle I connected it to. Tried with a 2006 Malibu, 2002 S10, and 2015 Acadia, and all worked well. I stuck with the USB model to ensure the most reliable connection. If you are not computer friendly then the setup may be a challenge, but most should be able to follow the directions with success.

this took me some time to successfully setup but now it is working flawlessly highly recommended.

How to Solve VXDIAG Subaru Failed to Launch Installer?

Problem:

I was trying to install Vxdiag vcx se Subaru SSM4 software, but failed, the software reported an error failed to launch installer.

Any solution?

Possible reason:

1. The antivirus program ate your files.

2. The installer is not completed or corrupted.

Download and install Subaru SSM4 software again.

Can VXDIAG Unlock Renault Gateway?

Customer question:

Will vxdiag vcx nano/vcx se unlock Renault gateway? I have Renault dongle.

Answer:

VXDIAG Renault Clip V219 software works on Renault models till year 2022, for pre 2022 vehicle you don’t need to unlock gateway. Hook it up to OBDII socket and it will access vehicle.

For 2023 models, i.e if connect with connector to Renault Traffic 2023  it will show need usb flash renault dongle.

clip want token to connect renault server for emulating 16 bit online !

If connect other OBD2 scanners you will receive message that the gateway is locked.

You will need a genuine Renault Clip or Aliicance VCI.+token (E-token). VXDIAG is not compatible with original USB renault dongle. So it will not unlock gateway for 2023 models.

Buy an E token from Renault ASOS or if you already have one and it is inserted into the computer you may need to re activate it. All informtion can be found on Renault ASOS site.

How to Solve VXDIAG Renault Clip Activation Error?

Some users reported that they failed to activate vxdiag vcx se or vcx nano Renault Clip via keygen, it fails at the last step of the registry. did not receive a valid registration code after putting ID, the keygen inside failed to generate the activation key, throwing an error “unhandled exception has occurred” instead.

VXDIAG VCX NANO Toyota & Godiag J2534 Which is Better

Vxdiag vcx nano Toyota and Godiag gd101 j2534 which is a better diagnostic cable for Toyota & Lexus?

Both are compatible with Techstream software.

VXDIAG VCX NANO emulates Techstream like OEM VCI, godiag J2534 just works as j2534 passthru.

According to users’ report, godiag j2534 is not fully compatible with techstream, even after using their drivers.

1).

Beware, Avast and then multiple other antiviruses on virustotal marked the driver program and the Techstream software available for download from their website as having trojans. It will read codes, but don’t expect to be able to change vehicle configurations with it (tried on two lexus, neither worked – bought a VXDiag vcx nano toyota cable after buying this and it worked flawlessly – but is much more expensive). Godiag wouldn’t recognize my LS400 (would read as LS430) nor RX350 (had to manually do it) when plugging in, VXDiag got both of them right on first try.

I purchased godiag cable because it looked better than the cheap clear J2534 cables you see online, primarily wanted for Toyota techstream to be able to clear codes and do some customize features on my vehicles.
Note that this WILL communicate with your vehicle however it can basically only “see” things.
It cannot and will not perform any setting changes, cannot communicate with a vast # of computers etc and you cannot do any programming with it.
If you need something just to see codes than this will work fine but it is not the universal tool for performing any functions.

 

3). With vxdiag vcx nano you can perform online programming with Toyota online subscription, however, godiag j2534 cable does not work with an online subscription, only works with offline techstream.

So godiag j2534 is just for starters, for professional use, better go with vxdiag.

VXDIAG VCX NANO JLR DoIP License Invalid?

Problem:

I got the vxdiag vcx nano JLR and tried to install JLR DoIP driver but failed, vx manage is up-to-date but system gave me error “The device license for this application is invalid or expired.”

Any idea?

Solution:

VCX NANO JLR only supports JLR SDD software license. VCX NANO does not support DoIP protocols.

To use JLR Pathfinder DoIP software you need VCX SE JLR DoIP.
