How to Install JLR SDD 166 Software? 

1. Run VCredist all-in-one FIRST before anything.
2. Install base program JLR v166
3. Run OFFLINE1.exe patch
4. Run JLR SDD, then log in using the username and password below. (user name: y-cai1, password: apri12012)
5. Exit SDD.
6. Run OFFLINE2.exe patch
7. Restart PC – run SDD and use as normal.

Network icon may be red, but downloads still work.- you may have to go to Settings > Network > and enable network connection to get online downloads working.

NOTE: Do not let the program launch into Edge. Only Internet Explorer. If you have issues fixing this, search google for “Disable IEtoEdgeBHO”. You will find the solution which involves registry editing.

Q: SDD can it work offline programming with downloaded calibration files?

A: Use last version v166 all will be ok.

Question: when I connect to VX Manager it says I need to update my license, when I try to do it I get this message

Answer: 

For this problem, need to update firmware and license more times.
when you do firmware update, need to turn the VCI update status to ON.

Question: Thank you that worked.  Should land rover Sdd automatically detect the obd reader?

Answer: Need to install jlr sdd driver from “diagnostic” menu, to match the vxdiag vcx nano jlr to sdd software.

How to Install VXDIAG JLR SDD on WIn10 32 and 64bit?

The vxdiag vcx nano JLR SDD V159 works fine on Windows 7 32bit. I got it to run on Windows 10 Professional 64 bit but the VX Manager driver doesn't support Win10 64bit. So  I tried using it on a new Windows 10 32bit version and am getting an error about the side by side configuration is incorrect.   Both in administrator mode.

Has anyone gotten SDD to work on Windows 10 32 bit or 64bit?

 

Solution for Win10 32bit:

The side by side error is caused by the VisualC++ installation missing or not properly installed, this happens when installing older application on Windows 10. I found on the internet a complete VisualC+ install with all the versions used that and all worked OK.

 

Win10 64bit:

It works with Windows 10 64bit system.

Works great with Land Rover SDD. It comes with 2 install disks. But I went to the manufacturers website on the box to download the software because my computer doesn't have a CD drive. THIS WORKS WITH 64BIT WINDOWS 10!!! Windows 10 has a comparability mode allowing it to work with this scanner and software.

 

How to Solve VXDIAG JLR SDD Http Error 500?

Question:

I failed to run JLR SDD software no matter connect or disconnect vxdiag vcx nano adapter with vehicle.

Got the VX Manager and JLR driver installed. It passes self test. Software refuse to run. Any clue on this?

Solution:

VX Manager driver is well installed but the SDD software has been been correctly installed.

Install SDD software again.
