Summary:

1). VXDIAG has a more complete package for BMW and Mercedes. Topdon does not have WIS/WPC (parts and workshop info) and ISTA-P software.

2). VXDIAG supports both PIWIS II and PIWIS III software. Topdon does not support PIWIS II software.

3). Topdon comes with newer ODIS-S and ODIS-E software.

4). Both VXDIAG and Topdon support SDD and Pathfinder software.
5). Topdon 2TB software has Ford FJDS and FRDS software downloaded. VXDIAG you have to download programs by yourself.

6). Both support GDS2, Tech2win and Techline Connect software.
VXDIAG uses a patch, doesn’t need activation. Topdon GDS2 requires activation via Teamviewer.

7). VXDIAG supports Renault and PSA license, Topdon does not.
Topdon supports Mitsubishi and Chrysler license, VXDIAG does not.

VXDIAG has an advantage in cracked software, while TOPDON is more suitable as a J2534 device.

If need to emulate OEM Mercedes and BMW tool, choose VXDIAG. If you need a stable J2534 passthru device for OEM software, especially Nissan, Chrysler, and Mitsubishi, go for Topdon.

VXDIAG 2TB hard drive/solid drive released new Honda HDS software version 3.105.043.

Select VCI as VXDIAG.

Support for Honda/Acura Models 2005-2021: Diagnose a wide range of Honda/Acura vehicles from 2005 to 2021, enhancing your diagnostic capabilities.

Honda HDS Functions List:

* Reading and decoding fault codes from control blocks memory

* Deleting fault codes

* Displays system current parameters in digital form

* Combined displaying of data

* Management of executive devices

* Logs keeping – writing and keeping of digital parameters in memory

* Special functions – changing of permissible settings of blocks, programming etc.

The software does not include online account. if you want do ecu programming, you must need online account. Offline programming is not possible.

Only the 2TB hard drive/solid drive version has this software update; there is no separate software download link available.

VXDIAG 2TB BMW ISTA-P Error Not Found Solution

Problem:

Failed to start BMW ISTA-P software from VXDIAG 2TB software hard drive.

Error ISTA-P not found.

Any solution?

Solution:

ISTA-P file is missing or damaged.

Damaged files can be repaired, but the 2T all-brand hard drive does not have enough space for the repair files.

The 1T dedicated BMW solid drive contains the repair files. The repair files are located in the “tool” folder on the desktop (17G).

If the hard drive was purchased from us, the repair files can be installed remotely. Alternatively, you can directly purchase the 1T BMW drive.

Change VXDIAG 2TB HDD Boot Language to English

Problem:

When starts VXDIAG 2TB software hard drive, it displays in Chinese. How can I change the English system?

Solution:
Set your system language to English as follows:

Right click and hit Display settings.

Go to Time & Language.

In Region, select your region and current format: English

In Language, choose Language.

Save setting.

Then go to Control Panel-> Clock and Region

Go to Administrative->Copy settings

Tick both “Welcocome screen and system accounts” and “New user account”. Click on OK to save setting.

Select Change system locale. Select current system locale as English, save setting.

The system locale has been changed.

Restart computer.

Then you can see the VXDIAG 2TB HDD/SSD boot screen is displayed in English.

VXDIAG 2TB HDD All Software Installed or Not?

Question:

If I buy a 2TB VXDIAG hard drive is it supposed to have all the software brands on it?
all installed it set up and ready to be used?

Here is the clue.

Apart from Renault Clip, Ford and Mazda IDS software, all other software are pre-installed.

For GDS2, Toyota techstream, Subaru SSM4, Nissan Consult3 plus, Ford/Mazda IDS you need to start from patch.

Subaru SSM4: installed, but need to run software from patch

Honda HDS: installed, ready to use

VAG ODIS: installed, ready to use.

JLR SDD: installed, ready to use

Ford/Mazda IDS: Not installed, need to install software and run from patch

Renault clip: Not installed, need to install software

PSA diagbox: installed, ready to use.
