VXDIAG VCX NANO GM Delete Chevrolet Mag Ride Control

Does the vxdiag vcx nano gm scanner have the ability to wipe mag ride control from the Chevrolet Corvette body control module?

Yes, it does. On the BCM set up part for Real time damping.

User feedback:

1). I was able to delete real time damping and OnStar with the vxdiag vcx nano. took me a lot of work, but I finally found the right bin file to use with tech2win

2). I was able to delete RTD option for the BCM using a vxdiag tech2win.

Here is an example of C6 Corvette Mag Ride Deleting.

The screenshots are from a handheld tech2, the menu trees can be different from tech2win, but it is similar.

VXDIAG GM Win7 32bit Setup Review for GMC Sierra

You will find no cheaper alternative compatible with Tech2Win. Rest assured, if you install it exactly as described below you will find success – in fact, I just completed an automatic ABS bleed today with my GMC Sierra 2500HD!

Disclaimer:
As indicated by others, viruses and hidden software may lurk in the required files. However, my own scan with Kapersky did not flag any. Regardless, it is recommended to perform a fresh OS install on spare/burner PC for three reasons:
1) No personal files or info to worry about
2) Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit is required. If you don’t already have it, you will need to get it and perform a fresh install. There are many documented failures from attempting to use Windows 10, Win 7 64-bit, etc -I prefer Win7.
3) Lastly if you think you can get away with running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit inside a Virtual Machine, think again – Tech2Win will crash while establishing vehicle connection (ask me how I know).

Okay, on to the guide…

1) Perform fresh install of Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (x86).
2) Install drivers on your machine and all that good stuff.
3) Fully update windows via Windows Updates (skipping this step may result in cryptic “missing .dll”
errors during install).
4) Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2010 to avoid more .dll errors.
5) From VXdiagshop.com, download the latest versions of the following (do NOT use the USB key):
-VX Manager
-VXDIAG GM GDS2
-VXDIAG GM Tech2Win
6) Unzip/extract as necessary. Inside the Tech2Win folder, run AutoInstall.exe.
7) Inside the GDS2 folder, run AutoInstall.exe. Expect long wait times. Note that GDS2 may not strictly be required for Tech2Win but I installed it anyways.
8) Install VX Manager – select PassThru & GM.
9) Plug in VCX Nano GM. Windows will automatically find and install the USB driver as long as step (8) has
been completed
10) Launch VX Manager. VCX Nano should now be recognized. If not, unplug and re-plug back in, restart VX manager, restart the computer, etc. It will show up eventually. Note that an OBD connection is not required at this time.
11) Go to Diagnostic tab at top. Double click “GM GDS2/T2W” and hit Install. Do the same to PassThru if it doesn’t already have a green checkmark.
12) Plug in to your vehicle.
13) Launch Tech2Win with VX Manager still open in the background. Tech2Win It should prompt you to select your communication tool in a popup window – pick GM MDI (not MDI 2). It should then pause and prompt you again, this time with one option – a string of numbers and “USB”. If it does not prompt twice, close Tech2Win and try again.
14) Hit OK at the second prompt. That’s it – Tech2 emulation is running and you should be able to communicate with your vehicle.

I’ve had fairly good luck pulling data and performing special functions with this since I got it working.

Good luck to you – hope the guide was helpful.

Escalade GMT800 TPMS Programming by VXDIAG VCX SE

Review: 2003-2006 Cadillac Escalade GMT800 /Silverado – TPMS Programming with VXDIAG VCX SE Tech2win software.

Now we have a vxdiag vcx se scan tool that I purchased from vxdiagshop and that allows me to connect to this truck- a Cadillac Escalade GMT800.
It’s a j2534 communication device that allows me to utilize factory scan tool software to connect to vehicles and talk to them for pennies on the dollar compared to what dealerships charge.
It’s pretty simple. You buy the device, install the gm drivers and then download and install the tech2win software. It’s a piece of cake and they outline how to do it step by step when you buy the device.  Another part of the install is a passenger door module with forward slash tpms which you will read on the sticker on the back of each one that has it out of a gmt 800 escalade.

Now the Escalade has to have an up-level radio. So with that being said you have the pdm out of an escalade gmt 800 and the tire pressure monitoring sensors either sitting in your hand or on a workbench or installed in the tires.

i’d recommend them getting them installed in the tires and how you want to do that is up to you.

What i’m going to show you right now is the programming step to get this taken care of.

Here’s the free tech2win software downloaded from vxdiagshop website. Run tech2 software, choose the North American region.

Select correct interface and go ahead.

Drill into the diagnostics-> 2005->ID Truck MPV and Incomplete-> Cadillac-> C series-> F2: Chassis ->Equal to or under 8600 GVW-> Rear Disc Brakes

cool ABS is not illuminated

we’re going to slide on down to tpms and we’ll do just data display to prove it works.

Escalade GMT800 TPMS Programming by VXDIAG VCX SE 8

Escalade GMT800 TPMS Programming by VXDIAG VCX SE 9

a simple data display that’s pulling a live feed through that passenger door module and since i don’t live in europe or canada or any other country that’s not america i’ll switch that to miles

per hour and psi and right now you see all the all the specs 41 42 sensor id, it’s currently programmed for 45 psi.

so i believe if it drops down below 10 or if it drops down 10 psi so to 35

it’ll set off the tpms warning that flashes on your dtc in your gauge cluster and the light comes on and then you have the load range which you program in here.

So i’m going to go back and tech2win special functions and here it is so you’ve got learn sensor location, type tire pressure selection so in here

you would come in here select the load range and specify the tire pressure that you would like

Escalade GMT800 TPMS Programming by VXDIAG VCX SE 14

here’s the option to enable tpms which it’s a piece of cake, just come in here and click enable as long as you have that passenger door module.

and then spare entire monitoring disable.

Enjoy.

Corvette C6 BPPS Calibration with VXDIAG VCX NANO Tech2win

GM Tech2 or the vxdiag vcx nano gm tech2win scanner will calibrate the bpps on Chevrolet Corvette C6 by itself.

Tips on BPS relearn:

Step 1: Set up vx manager and software

First off, you want to install VX manager 1.8.* to a windows 7 or up machine. Windows defender may see the VX manager has a problem during install, so if you do get a pop up from defender that is blocking one of the files, need to click on the pop up and allow VX manager to install.

Once you have VX manager installed and working correctly, plug the VCX Nano into the machine, click on the firmware icon to update the firmware on the nano, then click on the license icon to update the license for the nano.

Leave VX manager open, leave the VCX Nano plugged into the machine, and run the Tech II autoinstall.exe from the disc tech2 win folder that will come with the machine. This will install two Tech2win icons on the desktop, and the one that is Quickstart, Delete it since you will never use it.

Now with Tech2 win installed on the machine, go back into VX manager, click on the top diagnostic tab, go the second tab down on the left hand side, and install Passthrou, GM GDS2/T2W apps in Vx manager. Once these are installed, do a restart on the computer.

Step 2: BSP relearn procedure

Now to use the VXDIAG VCX Nano GM, start off by clicking on the Tech2win icon in the desktop with the nano plugged into the laptop.
You will get a pop up screen, so select North America.
Next pop up screen, select MDI 1.
Third pop up screen, select USB device in the list.
Now you will be into the Tech2 win program.

Put the car into ACC mode, connect the nano to the OBDII port of the car, then in tech2 win back on the laptop.
Click OK,
Click F0 diagnostic,
Click 2013, and not the year of your car if is a 2006 or later. Hence there is a bug in the program, and to get to the BCM in a car after 2005, you have to select 2013. any other modules you want to get to, just use the real year of the car.
Click passenger car
Click chevy,
Click Y body type
Click body, let the program read the car, then select BPS relearn to do the re-lean from the body list.

On the relearn, don’t touch the brake pedal for the first part, and when you go to press the pedal down for the second part, don’t go buck wild on the pedal press. Just press the pedal enough to get into the brakes lightly!!!!

If you need to do a clutch position sensor relearn, then you want CPS and on this one, pedal at rest to start with, then pedal all the way down for that relearn.

VXDIAG VCX NANO Saturn Review

I was unhappy with the lack of data available through torque pro. Biggest complaint is lack of evap sensor data.

Picked up a vxdiag vcx nano gm (gm tech2win clone), works great on my Saturn third gen s series. Was able to diagnose my P0446 as a bad fuel tank pressure sensor, and was able to program the BCM to new FOBs.
RKE fobs from ebay:
saturn-RKE fobs

The vcx nano comes with what I believe to be a cracked version of GM tech2win. I’m sure your supposed to pay the monthly subscription to the GM gods. Windows defender thinks it’s a virus, probably is. If you don’t have internet it crashes every 10 minutes or so, have to be running the VxManager software for Tech2Win to work. It comes with a generic writable 4.2gb cd, has a “this is definitely going to give me computer aids vibe” floral pattern. Great instructions on it for getting all the software configured.
The Tech2Win software is incredibly intuitive, well polished for being a Tech2 emulator from the 90s.
Saturn is so special they get their own category.
So far, so good! VCX Nano has paid for itself.
