Problem:
VXDIAG VCX SE Honda and HDS 3.105.012 software did not connect with a 2013 Honda Accord. Honda driver was installed and VCI was detected in vx manager.

Solution:
Disconnect VCX SE from vehicle, reconnect VCI after 2 minutes.
Then run Honda diagnostic software as Administrator.

Problem Description
A user encountered an issue where the VXDIAG VCX SE Honda device and HDS 3.105.012 software could read vehicle information (e.g., VIN) but failed to communicate with modules or perform diagnostics on a 2008 Honda Civic. The problem persisted even after trying a different computer (Windows 10).
Solution
After remote diagnostics by VXDIAG engineers, it was determined that the issue was related to software permissions. The HDS software required administrative privileges to function correctly.
Run HDS Software as Administrator.
Select “VXDIAG” as the diagnostic device in connection settings.

Honda HDS Functions List:

The software does not include online account. if you want do ecu programming, you must need online account. Offline programming is not possible.

Problem:
Got the VXDIAG VCX SE Honda HDS 3.105.012 software installed. Run software but didn’t see the VXDIAG communication interface selection.
Solution:
You have installed the wrong driver.
Install Honda driver in VX Manager, and follow instructions to install Honda HDS (i-HDS) software.
Run i-HDS software on the desktop, you will see device selection option. Select the device type as VXDIAG.

I do almost all services for our Clarity personally, except warranty/recalls and the first free oil change. I even rotated tires when the tire store started asking me to replace them until I felt they were really worn down. Sunday as I was driving car chimed and said “Service Due”. Both Autel and HDS will do diagnostic and service function. Autel/Foxwell scanner cannot do programming. VXDIAG will do with Honda online subscription, even key programming.
Problem:
I got 2 vxdiag vcx se units, I transferred VCX SE Honda license to another vcx se. I tried to use the unit (without license) as a J2534 device for Honda. After installing Passthru driver and run HDS, it detected VXDIAG device but had error invalid license.

I pulled out my i-HDS clone VXDiag unit to see what I could see as I’m coming up on (3 weeks as of this morning per display) A 0 1 2. Updated the firmware and software to the latest, set the car up with a battery charger set to Boost at 20 A. Booted up to what appears to be 3.102.054.ENG.WIN32 and found data on items 2, 3, 4, and 5.
I also have a Foxwell and Autel diagnostics tools that have gotten me by with what I needed to be done.
