VXDIAG BMW E-sys Unable to Communicate with Server Solution

Problem:

Got the VXDIAG VCX SE BMW scanner with 2025.09 ista software. Failed to start BMW E-sys software. It says unable to communicate with server component. Any idea?

Solution:

There are several versions of E-SYS on the hard drive, but only one version can be used for free.

Only E-sys 3.40.0 can be used for free.

The other versions (E-sys 3.7.0, E-sysPlus4 etc) require payment for activation before using.
